  • Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative professional and technical (APT) or Instructional-type positions.
Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees such as paid leave and holidays. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees and up to one calendar year for part-time employees.

Description of Duties:
Facilitate the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic RiderCourse and Basic RiderCourse (Hawaii Edition) as applicable in accordance with the MSF Basic RiderCourse RiderCoach guide and Leeward CC Motorcycle Safety Program Operating procedures. Facilitate the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic RiderCourse II in accordance with the MSF Basic RiderCourse II RiderCoach guide and Leeward CC Motorcycle Safety Program operating procedures. Facilitate the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Advanced RiderCourse in accordance with the MSF Advanced RiderCourse RiderCoach guide and Leeward CC Motorcycle Safety Program operating procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current class 2 (Hawaii motorcycle endorsement) or motorcycle endorsement from another state on driver license. Current Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoach Certification.
Desired Qualifications:
Current State of Hawaii Certified Instructor Certificate or proof of application to HDOT in process. Current Adult Basic CPR, AED and First Aide certification One or more year's experience facilitating MSF certified course materials.
