Job Description
What Your Day Will Look Like:
As a Engineer or EIT Diver at Consor you will be preparing for and working on dive teams for our structural assessment contracts locally, regionally and around the US. You will help plan, schedule and coordinate dive assignments in the field. You will serve as a bridge inspector, diver and engage on the report side of the inspection. Your path to a Team Leader will be quick so you will be in the water honing your craft from day one as well as learning to lead a team and project. We will also teach and involve you in top side inspection of bridges and other structures to protect the travelling public and gain full inspection experiences.What You'll Do:
- Perform inspections and develop reports in accordance with national bridge inspection standards requirements to determine maintenance or repair needs.
- Perform emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision and floods.
- Be involved with report preparation and quality control process.
- Load rating of existing bridges.
- Maintain and prepare equipment for field inspections including dive equipment, vehicles and boats.
- Maintain bridge records and files.
What You'll Need:
- ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required.
- BS Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred) from an accredited University
- Proficient technical writing skills
- CAD skills preferred
- Must be physically able to peform bridge inspections in the field
- Valid driver's license required
