7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Saturday as production warrants. Alaska Precast Solutions, part of the Remote Alaska Solutions family of operations, is redefining construction in Alaska. With the construction of our cutting-edge Precast Hollowcore Plank Manufacturing Plant currently underway in Nikiski, we're revolutionizing how Alaska builds—delivering unmatched efficiency, strength, and versatility to the state's construction industry. We're seeking a Prestressed Precast Concrete Quality Control / Safety Manager to join the team immediately to begin overseeing quality assurance at the newly established plant. This is a unique opportunity to shape processes and establish best practices in a new facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead implementation of quality control programs for prestressed precast concrete production, ensuring products meet PCI and ACI standards. Oversee safety protocols and regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of safety throughout the plant. Conduct pre-pour, post-pour, and final inspections to ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards. Implement and maintain testing procedures for raw materials and finished products. Train and supervise quality control personnel, ensuring consistent adherence to standards. Collaborate with the design/build team during plant construction to establish effective production and safety processes. Monitor production operations to identify and resolve quality or safety issues proactively. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance with quality and safety regulations. Coordinate with plant management and APS Executive Staff to meet production goals while ensuring compliance with quality and safety benchmarks. Conduct regular safety audits and provide training to plant staff on safe work practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control and/or safety management role. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing quality control plans, inspection processes, and safety protocols for concrete production. Strong knowledge of ACI and PCI standards for concrete quality and safety compliance. Proven ability to lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions effectively. Familiarity with nondestructive testing methods and concrete sampling/curing procedures. Experience working in a high-volume production environment, particularly with hollowcore and prestressed concrete products.

Mathematical & Technical Aptitude:

Strong mathematical skills for mix design calculations, production tolerances, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with software tools used for quality tracking, production metrics, and reporting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and engineering specifications.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfortable standing, walking, and climbing in industrial or outdoor environments for extended periods. Capable of working in varying weather conditions and around heavy machinery and equipment.

Leadership & Communication:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train, mentor, and oversee quality control technicians. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal reporting, customer interactions, and team collaboration.

Compliance & Certifications:

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and proven experience in implementing workplace safety programs. PCI, ACI or NRMCA certification (preferred but not required). Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.

• Bonus Qualifications (Not Required): Previous experience with startup of a new precast concrete manufacturing plant.

Certification or NRMCA Certification. 2-5 years of Hollowcore production experience. Familiarity with Elematic technology or Mixer Systems equipment.
