Job Description
Job Summary Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for dispatching concrete mixer trucks and processing all necessary paperwork associated with concrete dispatch and working in alignment with Graniterock's Strategic Priorities and business objectives. Essential Job Accountabilities Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else." Schedule and dispatch concrete mixer trucks to ensure on-time delivery of concrete products. Collaborate with other concrete branches to support mixer truck resource sharing efficiency. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner, over multiple communication platforms (BCMI / phones) to ensure service is met at a high level. Review orders, prior to shipping, to confirm material needs are identified and understood. This includes mix designs / additives / delivery time / jobsite location / specialty details. Actively participate in a daily meeting to review and recap same day & future production highlights. Education and Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree in business or related field desired Some related driving/construction/dispatch experience preferred. 2-3 years logistics, dispatch or construction transportation experience preferred Required Skills Knowledge and Abilities Good communication and listening skills Detail-oriented and have an aptitude for numbers Basic math skills Ability to use computerized dispatching system Proven ability to multi-task Knowledge of geographic area Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred MS Word and Excel skills Knowledge of aggregates Must be able to work weekends and overtime
