In this role, you will be responsible for transforming freshly poured concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet project specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality finishes on a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and restoration sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects while honing your skills in concrete finishing and related trades. Responsibilities Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications for concrete placement and finishing. Install rebar and formwork to prepare for concrete pouring, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Operate heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools to facilitate efficient project execution. Perform concrete cutting, caulking, and sealing tasks to achieve precise edges and joints in finished surfaces. Follow construction plans and safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment on-site. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project coordination during renovation or restoration projects. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used in concrete finishing and construction work. Proficiency in construction estimating, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and schematics. Experience with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and surface treatments such as plastering or stucco application. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and heavy machinery including concrete mixers and pumps. Ability to perform metal stud framing, masonry work, tile laying, flooring installation, roofing support tasks, and metal welding when needed. Demonstrated experience working on various construction projects with a focus on quality craftsmanship in concrete work.
