Own Your Success. Preferred Materials is seeking a motivated, results-driven Account Manager to grow and manage a territory of ready-mix concrete and block customers. In this role, you'll develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and work with contractors, builders, and DOT customers to provide solutions that help their projects succeed. Key Responsibilities Grow sales within an assigned territory through new business development and account expansion. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and key customers. Prepare accurate and timely quotes while providing product expertise and consultation. Identify project opportunities and proactively generate leads and referrals. Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally. Manage customer accounts to maximize revenue and long-term retention. Promote and maintain a safe work environment. Qualifications 3-5 years of sales experience in concrete, building materials, construction, or a related industry. Experience managing a sales territory and growing customer relationships. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid driver's license required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications Established relationships within the local construction market. Experience with commercial, DOT, or key accounts. Formal sales training and/or industry certifications (NRMCA, ACI, FDOT, etc.).
