This position will prepare accurate and competitive estimates for heavy civil construction projects , including street rehabilitation, concrete paving, dirt work, and municipal infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is experienced, detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple bids and deadlines. Responsibilities Prepare complete estimates for heavy civil construction projects Review plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents Perform detailed quantity takeoffs Estimate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs Obtain and review subcontractor and supplier quotes Identify project risks, opportunities, and potential cost savings Develop competitive bid strategies and final pricing Present estimates and recommendations to management Work with Project Managers, Operations, and field teams during project handoff Attend pre-bid meetings and job site visits as needed Manage multiple bids and meet required deadlines Maintain organized estimating records and historical pricing Stay current with KDOT, MoDOT, KCMO, and other applicable specifications Qualifications 7+ years of heavy civil estimating experience Experience with street rehabilitation, concrete paving, dirt work,and municipal projects Experience estimating projects Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, contracts, and public bidding Strong quantity takeoff and cost estimating skills Proficiency with Bid2Win, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Strong communication and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license
