A growing heavy civil contractor is looking for a driven Estimator to help pursue and secure major concrete and transportation infrastructure projects. This is an opportunity to join an established team, influence which projects the company takes on, and play a key role in its continued growth. What You'll Estimate Concrete paving and full-depth pavement repair Bridge approaches and transportation infrastructure Sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and concrete flatwork Reinforcing steel and structural concrete scopes MoDOT, KDOT, municipal, and other public-sector projects What You'll Do Build accurate and competitive estimates from initial review through final bid Complete quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing Review plans, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements Identify project risks, logistical challenges, and value-engineering opportunities Develop winning bid strategies with company leadership Build relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and public agencies Attend pre-bid meetings and project site visits Provide thorough project handoffs to operations and field leadership Track historical costs and production data to strengthen future estimates What You'll Bring Three or more years of construction estimating experience preferred Experience with heavy civil, concrete paving, roadway, bridge, or flatwork projects Familiarity with MoDOT, KDOT, municipal, or public-sector work is highly valued Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and bid documents Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Experience with estimating and takeoff software is preferred Why This Opportunity Stands Out Strong and stable project backlog Exciting infrastructure projects throughout the Kansas City region Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Collaborative and team-focused working environment Direct influence on project selection and company growth Long-term advancement opportunities If you're ready to take ownership of challenging bids and help win the next generation of heavy civil projects, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
