In this role, you will be instrumental in executing various concrete-related tasks that bring construction projects to life. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to impactful construction endeavors.
Duties:
Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other power tools to pour, spread, and finish concrete surfaces. Install rebar and metal reinforcement structures according to schematics and blueprints for stability and durability. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of concrete forms and layouts. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as bags of cement, rebar, and form panels to facilitate smooth workflow. Execute finishing techniques including smoothing, troweling, and sealing concrete surfaces for a polished look. Support with related tasks such as masonry work, stucco application, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and restoration projects as needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete pumps safely. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to construction projects. Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing techniques, and masonry work. Knowledge of various construction methods including hardscape installation, renovation work, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, plastering, and stucco application. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining stamina throughout long shifts on construction sites. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and the use of schematics for project planning. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or experience operating heavy equipment is a plus but not required.
