Precast Products Specialist Northern Concrete Pipe Inc. - 2.0 Wyoming, MI Job Details Full-time $19.11 - $23.11 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Retirement plan Qualifications Fabrication Molding (production process) Rebar installation Forklift High school diploma or GED Manufacturing Full Job Description Northern Concrete Pipe Inc is a precast concrete storm and sanitary products provider. We build Concrete Pipe from 12" round up to 168" round (yes that is 14'), Concrete bridges, which are 4 sided boxes and 3 sided flat top and arch sections that most everyone drives over each and every day under our roads. Everyone at Northern starts in the same position - learning as a laborer. The time that is spent at that level is based on each employee's abilities to move up in our Responsibility categories. We have 14 different crews in our Bay City location (we have facilities in Bay City, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Detroit and Toledo) that perform different supporting tasks in the manufacturing process of our products, each of the other facilities are similar in crews . Each of those crews have responsibility levels from general labor to equipment and machinery operator, Quality Control, Safety Committee up to crew Lead man. We operate overhead cranes, 36,000 to 120,000 forklifts, Concrete Batching equipment, steel cage reinforcing machinery, pouring fresh concrete into molds, finishing concrete, tying rebar and fabrication of really cool stuff that we get to build that most others can't, which we can do because of our exceptional people! It is a "grind" as people would say about our industry, yet it is satisfying to see our products which few others in the State or Country even produce, get loaded onto a semi and hauled down the road with some of the prettiest Northern Blue trucks you've seen. We have employees from "new this year" to 40+ years of experience, 68 year old family owned and operated business. Thanks for taking the time to check us out!
