Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete Foreman to lead and oversee concrete construction projects on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that all concrete work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Concrete Foreman, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with construction safety regulations. Your leadership will drive project success from start to finish, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence. Responsibilities Supervise and manage concrete crews, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and according to project specifications. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities accurately. Coordinate construction schedules using software such as Primavera P6 and Construction management software to optimize workflow. Review construction drawings and schematics for accuracy and clarity before work begins. Oversee quality control measures to ensure concrete work meets industry standards and client expectations. Enforce OSHA safety regulations and federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe job site environment. Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, daily reports, and safety logs using tools like ProCore, Prolog, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Construction management software. Lead team meetings to communicate project goals, safety protocols, and progress updates effectively. Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, scheduling adjustments, and resource allocation for concrete operations. Supervise the use of testing equipment such as ohmmeters for quality assurance and ensure proper interpretation of technical data. Skills Extensive experience with heavy civil or commercial construction projects involving concrete work. Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Prolog, HeavyBid, and other industry tools. Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment with excellent supervisory skills. Deep understanding of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety requirements. Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans. Expertise in project scheduling and coordination using Primavera P6 or similar tools. Ability to oversee construction safety management programs ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Competence in managing budgets, estimating costs accurately through construction estimating techniques. Strong communication skills for managing crews, coordinating with subcontractors, clients, and project stakeholders. Familiarity with testing equipment such as ohmmeters for quality assurance purposes.
