A Concrete Finisher works with cement workers in a construction process. Smoothes and levels concrete that has been poured, monitors concrete as it hardens, and applies sealants as needed.
Full-Time About the Position We are looking for an experienced and dependable Concrete Batchman to join our team at our concrete yard in Willow Springs, MO. The Batchman is responsible for safely and accurately producing concrete according to customer and project specifications while maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the batching process. The ideal candidate will have experience in ready-mix concrete production, be comfortable operating plant equipment and computerized batching systems, and have strong attention to detail. Responsibilities Operate and monitor the concrete batch plant safely and efficiently. Accurately batch concrete according to mix designs and job specifications. Measure and monitor cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures. Ensure concrete mixes meet required quality and consistency standards. Monitor material inventories and communicate when materials need to be replenished. Coordinate with truck drivers, dispatch, customers, and job-site personnel. Monitor production schedules and ensure orders are batched and loaded in a timely manner. Perform routine inspections of plant equipment and report maintenance issues. Keep the batch plant, yard, and surrounding work areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain accurate production and batch records. Troubleshoot basic plant or batching issues when necessary. Assist with general plant and yard duties as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous concrete batching or ready-mix experience
REQUIRED.
Knowledge of concrete mix designs and batching procedures. Experience operating a computerized batch control system is a plus. Strong understanding of concrete materials, aggregates, cement, water, and admixtures. Good communication and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and plant operations. Must be safety-conscious and able to follow instructions.
