Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Concrete/Blacktop Skilled Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete and asphalt work, ensuring high-quality results while adhering to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, from initial site preparation to finishing touches. Responsibilities Prepare construction sites by setting up forms, pouring concrete, and laying blacktop according to project specifications and blueprints Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently Install rebar, construct formwork, and interpret technical drawings and schematics for accurate placement Execute concrete finishing techniques including smoothing, sealing, and curing to meet quality standards Cut and shape concrete or asphalt using specialized tools; perform concrete cutting and demolition as needed Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure construction environment Assist with other related tasks such as masonry, drywall installation, roofing, or restoration work as required on-site Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete and blacktop work Experience with construction estimating and reading blueprints or technical drawings Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, finishing, and curing processes Ability to operate heavy machinery such as concrete pumps and compactors safely Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Skilled in rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry, flooring installation, and drywall work Capable of heavy lifting, working at heights (roofing), and performing renovation or restoration tasks with precision Join our team if you're passionate about contributing to high-quality construction projects!
