  • Concrete Position Overview
    We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent
  • Concrete to oversee and manage concrete construction projects across multiple industrial and commercial sites.

The Traveling Superintendent will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of concrete placement and curing, and the ability to travel regularly to supervise crews, coordinate trade partners, and liaise with clients and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Travel to assigned project sites to oversee day-to-day concrete operations, ensuring work progresses according to schedule and contract documents.

Coordinate and supervise onsite concrete crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment to maintain productivity and quality.

Implement and enforce safety programs and site-specific safety plans; conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.

Review project plans, specifications, and submittals; interpret drawings and work with project managers to resolve design or constructability issues.

Plan and sequence concrete pours, formwork, rebar placement, joints, and finishing activities to optimize efficiency and finish quality.

Monitor concrete mix designs, testing results, curing procedures, and environmental conditions to achieve required strength and durability.

Perform quality control inspections, document nonconformances, and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.

Maintain accurate daily reports, production logs, material tracking, and progress documentation; report status to project management and clients.

Communicate proactively with owners, general contractors, engineers, testing agencies, and municipal inspectors to coordinate inspections and approvals.

Mentor and train foremen and lead hands; promote best practices for concrete placement, finishing, and repair techniques.

Manage issues related to schedule delays, change orders, and resource allocation; escalate as necessary to ensure project objectives are met. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hands-on superintendent or lead supervisory experience in concrete construction, preferably within industrial or heavy commercial projects.

Proven experience managing multiple job sites and traveling between projects.

Strong technical knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, formwork, rebar placement, consolidation, finishing, curing, and repair methods.
