JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for a growing precast concrete manufacturing organization. This executive will have full accountability for the performance, profitability, safety, culture, and long-term growth of the company. Reporting directly to ownership, the General Manager will lead all aspects of the business, ensuring operational excellence while driving continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is a proven manufacturing leader with significant experience managing complex operations, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering results in highly demanding production environments. This individual must possess the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The General Manager serves as the senior operational leader of the company and is responsible for developing and executing the overall business strategy while ensuring alignment between production, engineering, project execution, customer service, financial objectives, workforce development, and organizational growth. This role provides executive oversight of manufacturing operations, production planning, quality assurance, safety, project management, engineering and detailing, shipping and logistics, human resources, accounting and finance, procurement, maintenance, inventory management, and customer relationship management. The General Manager will establish clear performance expectations, develop leadership talent throughout the organization, and ensure every department operates with a focus on efficiency, accountability, and profitability. The successful candidate will lead operational planning and capacity management to optimize production schedules, workforce utilization, equipment performance, and overall plant productivity. They will identify and implement process improvements, technology enhancements, and operational initiatives that increase throughput, improve quality, reduce waste, strengthen safety performance, and enhance customer satisfaction. Financial stewardship is a critical component of the role. The General Manager will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, capital expenditure planning, cost control initiatives, margin improvement strategies, and overall business performance. This individual will routinely analyze key performance indicators and take decisive action to ensure the company achieves its operational and financial objectives. The General Manager will cultivate strong relationships with customers, suppliers, industry partners, and key stakeholders while ensuring the organization maintains its reputation for quality, reliability, and exceptional service. They will be expected to identify growth opportunities, support business development initiatives, and contribute to strategic planning efforts that position the company for sustained success. This position requires a highly visible leader who leads by example and creates a culture built on integrity, accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence. The General Manager must be capable of motivating teams at every level of the organization, developing future leaders, and driving organizational alignment around common goals and performance standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate complex operational challenges while maintaining a relentless focus on results.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on feet for extended periods Work in conditions that may include dust, noise, vibration, temperature changes, and outdoor exposure Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed shoes
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred. Advanced business education is considered a plus. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing, construction materials, precast concrete, concrete products, steel fabrication, industrial production, or a related industry. Demonstrated success leading multi-department operations with full profit and loss responsibility. Strong background in manufacturing operations, process improvement, production planning, supply chain management, and organizational leadership. Proven ability to manage and develop large teams through subordinate managers and department leaders. Experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. Comprehensive understanding of OSHA compliance, workplace safety management, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements. Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies and driving measurable operational performance improvements. Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and hands-on leadership capacities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in precast concrete manufacturing is strongly preferred, particularly in organizations serving infrastructure, transportation, utility, commercial, industrial, or architectural construction markets. Familiarity with engineered-to-order manufacturing, project-based production environments, transportation logistics, and large-scale construction supply chains is highly desirable.

Employment is at-will and contingent upon onboarding requirements and any required background checks.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
