Project Engineer Eagle Concrete-US LLC The Project Engineer is a disciplined, mature, and well-rounded professional who fully endorses Eagle Concrete's Mission, Guiding Values, and Precepts. This highly visible position demands strong leadership and management capability to guide project teams in delivering safe, high-quality, customer-satisfied, and profitable work. A core responsibility is the training and development of others to support organizational continuity and succession planning. Core Competencies & Skills Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to implement and maintain structured systems. Proficiency in Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) processes. Uncompromising focus on safety as a core value. Solid knowledge of concrete equipment, placement methods, and field operations. Ability to accurately read and interpret plans, specifications, and related contract documents. Experience with line and grade control. Working knowledge of project scheduling principles and tools. Understanding of manpower and equipment management. Clear comprehension of the roles and responsibilities of General Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers. Leadership Application Instill fundamentals and effectively delegate responsibilities to team members. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and motivation that supports career progression. Manage assigned project elements while developing team members to independently fulfill their responsibilities. Customer Relations Establish and maintain positive, professional communication channels with clients and their representatives. Represent Eagle's services with a true win-win mindset. Build and sustain strong relationships across diverse client types. Remain attentive to client priorities including schedule, cost, safety, quality, design intent, and professional decorum. Interact comfortably and professionally with clients in both formal and informal settings. Human Relations & Personnel Development Demonstrate clear verbal communication and maintain a constructive attitude, especially under pressure. Foster and sustain a positive team environment. Seek assistance when needed and approach problems and people with objectivity. Show genuine interest in developing others. Deliver technical support and owner-facing service at every level. Maintain personal and professional balance. Technical Knowledge Understand concrete mix designs and their direct impact on finished product quality and performance. Possess broad knowledge of concrete construction methods and related disciplines. Review and analyze material test reports with accuracy. Interpret contracts, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work. Recognize the key drivers of project cost. Negotiate effectively on behalf of the company. Administration & Systems Lead efficient job start-ups and adapt procedures to the specific needs of each project. Organize, implement, and maintain administrative systems and reporting requirements. Maintain working knowledge of company reports, processes, and systems, including Foundation software (headquarters job-cost, accounting, and project financial platform). The Project Engineer is expected to utilize Foundation for accurate cost coding, time and quantity reporting, purchase order tracking, job cost review, and financial visibility to support proactive project management. Cost Control Use real-time job cost data to manage project performance. Control material costs and purchasing discipline. Manage subcontractor costs and mitigate claims through proactive oversight. Ensure accurate and timely time, quantity, and production reporting. Purchasing & Estimating Support Understand terms and conditions of purchase orders and subcontracts. Research and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors Maintain awareness of regional and national purchasing agreements. Equipment Management Identify, schedule, and coordinate equipment needs. Establish and monitor equipment controls. Analyze equipment and small-tool costs. Maintain accurate inventory tracking of equipment and tools. Quality Clearly distinguish quality work from deficient work. Link quality performance to cost, schedule, and owner relationships. Promote and enforce a zero-defects mindset. Continuously monitor work against established quality standards. Scheduling & Productivity Evaluate schedules and forecast performance accurately. Measure production, provide clear reporting to field teams, and address non-conformances promptly. Risk Management & Safety Identify contractual risks, including safety, warranty, and related clauses. Actively support the company's safety culture and zero-incident objectives. The Project Engineer position requires high personal accountability, visibility on projects, and a commitment to Eagle's processes, values, and continuous improvement culture. Mastery of both field and administrative systems—including effective use of Foundation software—is essential to delivering consistent, profitable results and supporting the long-term strength of the organization.
