Laborer/Concrete Wetcast Worker

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer / Concrete Wetcast Worker to join a dynamic team. This role is essential for assisting with various construction and manufacturing tasks, with a specific focus on the wetcast process, which involves casting concrete components in molds. Responsibilities Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule Prepare and mix wetcast concrete materials according to specifications Operate wetcast machinery and equipment safely and efficiently Pour concrete into molds and ensure proper vibration to avoid air pockets Strip and clean concrete forms Cut, bend, place, and tie steel rebar Remove rough or defective spots in concrete and patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound Troubleshoot and problem-solve situations involving material quality, equipment operation, and repairs Perform basic carpentry skills Build and lay out forms according to specifications, including making necessary calculations Accurately read and interpret drawings and blueprints Monitor curing processes and maintain quality control standards Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas regularly Follow safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents immediately Qualifications / Requirements Good attendance and punctuality Knowledge of basic measurements and ability to read a tape measure At least 1 year of experience in concrete work, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the knowledge and ability to perform the work Previous experience in construction or wetcast work preferred, but not required Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions Willingness to work around moving mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and concrete Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and willingness to follow them Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment Job Details Full-Time Monday - Friday 40 hours per week Additional Comments Planned and unplanned overtime may arise at any time. This individual must remain flexible to meet additional workload demands. Hours of work can change significantly and may require adjustments as the construction season changes Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test Salary $20 - $30 per hour, DOE #INDPrine
