$20-$30 Job Description We are seeking a skilled Concrete Laborer & Finisher to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. This position operates on the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves working in a commercial construction environment where you will be responsible for grading, setting up, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces. Responsibilities Grade, set up, pour, and finish concrete surfaces, including floors, sidewalks, curbs, and stairs. Grade to proper elevations using skid steers, shovels, and rakes, checking heights with lasers and string lines. Construct wooden forms and ensure forms are positioned correctly and aligned. Install expansion joints, rebar, and wire mesh as specified. Monitor site conditions, ground temperature, air temperature, and humidity levels, making adjustments to mix designs as needed. Spread and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and various hand or power tools. Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures into poured concrete before it hardens. Finish surfaces using brooms, hand tools, power trowels, and riding trowels as per job specifications. Essential Skills Previous experience as a concrete finisher or form carpenter, ideally in a commercial setting. Proficient in using hand and power tools, including tape measures, hand trowels, straight edges, and nail guns. Ability to work extended hours as needed during daylight shifts. Physical capability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs for several hours daily. Comfortable working on ladders and wearing all necessary PPE and safety equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with concrete construction, form carpentry, and rough carpentry. Masonry and finish carpentry skills. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
