Job Description:
The Laborer / Concrete Finisher plays a key role in supporting residential and commercial concrete projects throughout the Chester County region. This position involves hands-on work preparing, placing, finishing, and repairing concrete surfaces while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. Candidates should be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast‑paced construction environment. Essential Skills Experience in commercial concrete projects, including large-scale slabs, footers, or structural concrete. Prior concrete experience as a laborer or finisher, with willingness to continue learning and developing skills. Hands-on concrete finishing skills, including preparing, placing, and finishing concrete surfaces. Experience working on concrete foundations, slabs, and other structural concrete elements. Familiarity with concrete tools, materials, and equipment, including trowels and other finishing tools. Knowledge of basic construction practices and job-site safety procedures. Ability to lift 50-80 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods. Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions in a labor-intensive, fast-paced construction environment. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites in and around Downingtown, PA and Chester County. Dependable, punctual work habits and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from a Superintendent. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative on the job site. Why Work Here? Work Environment:
This role operates in an outdoor, year-round construction environment that is fast-paced and team-oriented. Work takes place on residential and commercial job sites located primarily within a 45-minute radius of Downingtown, PA, throughout Chester County and surrounding areas. You will travel daily to various job sites, working in all seasons and weather conditions while performing physically demanding tasks. The work involves regular use of concrete tools and equipment, including trowels, power trowels, and formwork systems, in a setting that emphasizes safety, collaboration, and productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downingtown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
