Non-Exempt Summary:
Alanis Construction is seeking motivated Concrete Finishers to join our residential construction team. This full-time position is responsible for assisting with the placement, finishing, and repair of concrete surfaces for residential projects. Applicants with prior concrete experience are preferred; however, individuals who are eager to learn the trade are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare work areas for concrete placement.
Assist with pouring, leveling, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces.
Operate hand and power tools used in concrete finishing.
Form, edge, groove, and texture concrete as needed.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
Assist with forming, reinforcing, and curing concrete.
Follow project specifications and safety guidelines.
Work closely with supervisors and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.
Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Previous concrete finishing or construction experience preferred but not required.
Willingness to learn concrete finishing techniques through on-the-job training.
Ability to read and follow directions.
Strong attention to detail.
Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive physical work throughout the day.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
