Field Engineer - Concrete

Job Description

Job Summary The Field Engineer supports commercial concrete construction projects by coordinating field operations, ensuring quality control, and assisting with project execution. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, and crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is an onsite position working across various projects located in Utah. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and coordinating daily concrete construction activities on job sites, including 3-week look aheads managed in excel. Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Perform site layout, measurements, and elevations. Monitor concrete placement, finishing, and curing processes to ensure quality standards. Track and maintain daily reports and field documentation. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Identify and help resolve field issues, conflicts, or delays. Support scheduling and logistics for materials, equipment, and labor. Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications. Required Comfortable using email applications like Outlook, and other Microsoft products like Word, Excel, Project, and Teams. Familiarity with other systems like Fieldwire or Procore are helpful as well. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in construction or concrete work (internships acceptable) Strong understanding of concrete construction methods and materials preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
