In this vital role, you will be responsible for achieving smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing concrete surfaces across a variety of projects. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, ensuring safety, quality, and precision at every stage of the finishing process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, from commercial developments to renovation projects, contributing directly to the creation of lasting structures. Duties Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools to facilitate pouring and finishing processes efficiently. Install rebar and formwork according to construction plans to support proper concrete placement. Perform concrete pouring, screeding, troweling, and sealing to achieve high-quality finishes. Maintain safety protocols by adhering to construction workplace safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects for seamless integration of work phases. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating heavy equipment and power tools. Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics for accurate project execution. Expertise in concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete cutting or grinding. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting construction plans for precise work planning. Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all team members. Hands-on experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, drywall installation, stucco application, and roofing is highly desirable.
