Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Framer and Finisher to join our construction team, specializing in building durable, precise concrete pads for various projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, applying your expertise in forming, pouring, and finishing concrete to ensure high-quality results. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safety standards while delivering exceptional craftsmanship. Duties Construct formwork for concrete pads using carpentry skills and blueprint specifications, ensuring accurate dimensions and stability. Install rebar reinforcement according to technical drawings and safety protocols to strengthen concrete structures. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and hand tools efficiently to prepare and pour concrete accurately. Interpret construction plans and blueprints to follow detailed instructions for formwork construction, rebar placement, and finishing processes. Pour, level, smooth, and finish concrete surfaces with precision using trowels, floats, and other finishing tools to achieve a high-quality surface finish. Conduct concrete cutting and finishing tasks such as caulking, stucco application, drywall installation, and flooring as needed for project completion. Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations by wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), following safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting tasks, metal stud framing, renovation projects, and other related construction activities to ensure project efficiency. Experience Proven experience working on construction projects involving concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to concrete work including the use of mixers, pumps, power tools, and cutting equipment. Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate formwork construction and rebar installation. Hands-on experience with heavy lifting equipment and safe operation of construction tools in a busy site environment. Construction workplace safety knowledge aligned with OSHA or equivalent standards; previous safety training certifications are a plus. Background in carpentry or metal stud framing is advantageous for understanding formwork construction requirements. Ability to perform precise measurements and interpret construction plans accurately to meet project specifications. Join us in building solid foundations!
