Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Polyurethane Concrete Lifting Technician to join our field crew. In this hands-on role, you will perform high-quality concrete lifting, leveling, and soil stabilization using expanding polyurethane foam injection systems. You will work on a variety of projects including driveways, sidewalks, patios, garage floors, warehouse slabs, pool decks, and other concrete flatwork. This position requires physical work outdoors in various weather conditions, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Assess job sites to diagnose settlement issues, identify void locations, and determine optimal foam injection strategies. Drill precise, small-diameter holes (typically ⅝-inch) into concrete slabs using appropriate tools. Operate specialized high-pressure polyurethane foam injection equipment to mix, pump, and inject two-component expanding foam beneath slabs. Monitor foam expansion in real time to control lift precisely, ensuring slabs are leveled accurately without over-lifting or damaging structures. Perform concrete raising and leveling on driveways, sidewalks, interior floors, patios, pool decks, warehouse floors, and other surfaces. Patch drilled holes, clean up job sites, and ensure minimal disruption to customers' properties (projects often allow same-day use). Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, including pumps, hoses, mix guns, and foam rigs. Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with all OSHA and company standards. Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and customers regarding project progress and any issues. Assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment, site preparation, and occasional crack repair or sealing. Keep accurate records of jobs, materials used, and time spent.
Qualifications and Requirements Experience:
1-3+ years of hands-on experience in polyurethane foam concrete lifting (polyjacking), mudjacking, or related concrete/construction work preferred. Willing to train motivated candidates with transferable skills (e.g., concrete finishing, drilling, or heavy equipment operation).
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 50-75 lbs regularly, stand/walk for extended periods, bend/kneel, and work in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, rain).
Technical Skills:
Comfortable operating power tools (drills, grinders), pumps, and pressure equipment; basic understanding of hydraulics and material expansion helpful.
Driver's License:
Valid IL driver's license with clean driving record (company vehicle provided for job sites).
Other:
Reliable transportation to shop/yard in Carol Stream area; ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Preferred:
Prior certification or training in polyurethane foam systems, experience leading small crews; basic knowledge of concrete structures and soil mechanics. Why Join Us?
