TOLM GROUP, INC. WATER/WASTEWATER CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN TOLM

Group is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Construction Foreman who can lead field crews and successfully execute self-perform water and wastewater construction and oversee subcontractor work. The right candidate will be a hands-on field leader who understands underground utilities, process piping, concrete, equipment installation, excavation, and the sequencing required to safely and efficiently complete water/wastewater projects. This position reports to the Superintendent and is responsible for directing crews, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining production, and helping deliver quality work safely, on schedule, and within budget.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

5+ years of water/wastewater construction experience. Non-Negotiable Demonstrated Foreman or field crew leadership experience. Non-Negotiable Direct field experience with water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, underground utilities, or similar infrastructure. Non-Negotiable Experience supervising self-perform construction crews and subcontractors. Non-Negotiable Strong working knowledge of excavation, underground piping, mechanical/process piping, concrete, and equipment installation. Able to plan daily work, assign manpower, coordinate materials/equipment, and maintain production. Able to read and interpret plans, submittals, specifications, GANTT charts, and critical-path schedules. Non-Negotiable Understands how field production impacts labor hours, schedule, and job cost and makes cost-conscious decisions. Strong knowledge of construction equipment, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices. This position requires regular travel and overnight stays at project locations during the workweek. Valid driver's license and must be insurable under TOLM's Commercial Auto Liability policy. Non-Negotiable

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

The Foreman should be able to take the Superintendent's plan and turn it into productive field execution. This includes planning and coordinating activities, ordering materials, scheduling manpower, assigning work based on employee skill sets, monitoring progress, maintaining quality, and communicating field conditions and needs to project leadership. We are looking for someone who understands that being a Foreman is more than directing labor.

The Foreman should know:

What are we building? How are we going to build it? What manpower, equipment and materials do we need? Are we meeting production? Are we working safely? Are we on schedule and budget? What barriers need to be removed?
