This is a hands-on foreman position, primarily assigned to one job at a time. You'll help plan the work, keep the crew productive, maintain quality, and handle daily jobsite coordination. Our owners will provide support and retain responsibility for estimating, contracts, and major project decisions. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and can keep a job moving without needing an owner to organize each day. For the right person, there is an opportunity to learn project management and estimating directly from our experienced owners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Paint alongside the crew, setting the standard for workmanship, professionalism, and safety. Plan daily tasks and assign work based on crew members' skills and project priorities. Oversee surface preparation, application, touch-ups, and cleanup. Anticipate material and equipment needs to avoid unnecessary downtime. Coordinate daily activities with the jobsite superintendent and other trades. Track crew hours, work completed, and upcoming needs. Keep owners informed of progress, delays, and issues that need a decision. Identify extra work or scope changes and notify ownership before proceeding. Inspect completed work and guide the crew through corrections and punch-list items. Train and support crew members while maintaining a respectful, accountable workplace.

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong professional painting experience, including surface preparation and brush, roller, and spray application. Experience leading a painting crew or serving as a lead painter. Ability to organize daily work and follow project instructions, specifications, and schedules. Good communication skills with crew members, superintendents, and company ownership. Reliable attendance, sound judgment, and attention to detail. Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of equipment. Reliable transportation to assigned jobsites. Previous estimating experience is not required. We are open to a strong lead painter who is ready to take the next step into a foreman role.
