Mechanical Foreman
Job Description
This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.
Job Summary:
•We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Foreman to lead and supervise mechanical teams on various plumbing and mechanical projects. This role involves ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of mechanical installations, maintenance, and repairs, while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
•Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanical technicians, plumbers, and pipefitters. Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily mechanical work activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate and compliant installations. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related equipment. Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed work to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications, codes, and safety regulations. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to the team. Order and manage materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and proper inventory control. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and team progress. Collaborate with project managers, other foremen, and clients to ensure seamless project execution. Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures on job sites. Identify and resolve potential issues and conflicts that may arise during project execution.
Job Qualifications:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical trades, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Proven expertise in HVAC, piping, and other mechanical systems. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Thorough understanding of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with mechanical work, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions. Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and communication. Problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
