Full Job Description Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise underground construction crews and coordinate daily work assignments, equipment, and production goals. Review construction prints, routes, utility locates, permits, and scope requirements before beginning work. Oversee underground construction activities including HDD, trenching, excavation, conduit placement, handholes/vaults, cable or fiber placement, and restoration as applicable. Ensure crews follow company safety requirements, traffic-control plans, excavation practices, utility-damage prevention procedures, and customer standards. Track daily footage, production quantities, materials, equipment usage, and field documentation. Coordinate with Construction Managers, Project Managers, QC personnel, utility locators, inspectors, subcontractors, and other field crews to maintain schedule. Verify work is installed to the required route, depth, clearance, and quality standards and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly. Maintain an organized jobsite, communicate equipment or material needs, and provide field coaching and direction to crew members. Qualifications 3+ years of OSP underground construction experience; previous foreman or lead experience preferred. Working knowledge of HDD, trenching, excavation, conduit installation, handholes, fiber infrastructure, and common OSP construction practices. Ability to read construction prints, utility maps, route plans, and locate markings and apply them in the field. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage crews and changing field priorities. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; CDL is preferred when required for assigned equipment. Physical & Field Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around active roadways, excavations, and heavy construction equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift or move construction materials and tools as required by the position. Occasional overtime, night work, weekend work, and travel may be required based on project needs.Company Overview:
