4/21/2026 Position Overview The Fence Installation Foreman is the on-site working leader responsible for ensuring each fence installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to Butte Fence's quality standards. This role leads a small crew while also performing installation work, including digging post holes, setting posts, fabricating sections, operating equipment, and completing repairs as needed. The Field Supervisor manages daily jobsite operations, trains and mentors installers, and serves as the primary field contact for customers and internal teams. This role sets the tone for professionalism, craftsmanship, and living Butte Fence's Core Values on every project. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Crew Management Lead, coach, and mentor the installation crew to consistently deliver high-quality work. Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and keep the team on schedule. Provide hands-on training and work alongside the crew on installations and repairs. Model Butte Fence's core values and maintain a positive, professional jobsite culture. Jobsite Operations Perform fence installation tasks such as digging holes, setting posts, building sections, and operating equipment. Review job packets, plans, and materials before arriving on site. Coordinate truck, trailer, tools, materials, and equipment needs. Ensure installations meet specifications, drawings, and quality expectations. Troubleshoot issues quickly and escalate when necessary. Customer Interaction Greet customers professionally and set a positive tone for the job. Communicate progress, address questions, and resolve concerns respectfully. Represent Butte Fence with confidence and clarity. Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct safety checks and ensure proper use of PPE, tools, and equipment. Document and report incidents or near-misses. Quality Assurance Inspect work throughout the day to ensure workmanship meets company standards. Verify measurements, depths, alignment, and materials used. Conduct final walkthroughs and quality checks with customers. Communication & Reporting Provide updates to office staff and project coordinators as needed. Submit daily jobsite notes, photos, and completion details. Share performance concerns or coaching opportunities with leadership. Qualifications 2+ years of fence installation experience; leadership or crew lead experience preferred. Ability to perform all physical tasks related to fence installation and repair, including lifting 80+ lbs and working outdoors year-round. Ability to read and interpret job packets, plans, and measurements. Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to operate tools/equipment safely. What Success Looks Like Projects completed on schedule with minimal callbacks.
