M&W Contractors, Inc. is a growing industrial contractor specializing in pipe fabrication, steel erection, equipment setting, concrete foundations, and related industrial construction services - primarily serving the Agricultural Processing industry. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. Position Summary The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on industrial construction projects, including coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, schedules, and work activities. This position serves as a key connection between field operations, project management, customers, and company leadership. The ideal candidate has strong industrial construction experience and practical knowledge of piping, structural steel, equipment setting, concrete/foundation, rigging, and mechanical construction . This is a travel-heavy position. The Superintendent must be willing and able to travel extensively and work at project sites for extended periods of time. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate daily field operations and construction activities. Supervise field employees, foremen, and subcontractors. Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, cranes, and rigging. Establish daily and weekly work priorities; forecasting upcoming needs. Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and schedule. Ensure employees and subcontractors follow all safety requirements. Conduct or participate in toolbox talks and job safety activities. Read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and project documents. Coordinate work with customers, engineers, subcontractors, and other contractors. Identify field issues, schedule concerns, and potential change orders. Maintain daily reports and communicate project progress to management. Assist with shutdowns, outages, maintenance projects, and other time-sensitive industrial work. Support project closeout and punch-list activities. Timekeeping for crew and communication with corporate payroll.

Qualifications Required:

5+ years of industrial construction experience. Previous field leadership, Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar experience. Strong knowledge of industrial piping, structural steel, equipment setting, rigging, and mechanical construction. Ability to read construction drawings, P&IDs, and specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Strong safety awareness. Willingness and ability to travel extensively and work extended periods on project sites . Basic computer usage; ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite. Reliable personal transportation. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements.

Preferred:

8+ years of industrial construction experience. Agricultural processing, grain handling, food processing, ethanol, feed, or similar industrial experience. Industrial shutdown/turnaround experience. OSHA 30 or other relevant safety training. Crane and rigging coordination experience.
