Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Construction Foreman to lead residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This is not a supervisory-only position . The Construction Foreman will work directly on the jobsite alongside the crew while also overseeing daily operations, coordinating workers and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a jobsite and has strong hands-on skills in multiple areas of residential construction and remodeling. You must be able to look at the work that needs to be completed, organize the crew, solve problems as they arise, and step in to perform the work yourself when needed. Duties & Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction crews while actively working alongside the crew on jobsite tasks Manage day-to-day jobsite operations and keep projects moving efficiently Perform skilled residential remodeling and construction work as needed Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, specifications, and construction plans Coordinate daily work schedules, employees, subcontractors, material deliveries, and jobsite needs Assign tasks to crew members based on skill level and project priorities Monitor workmanship and perform quality-control inspections throughout each project Identify jobsite problems and develop practical solutions without unnecessary delays Communicate material and supply needs before they impact the project schedule Supervise subcontractors and vendors and verify that their work meets project specifications Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsite Ensure work is completed according to applicable building codes, OSHA requirements, and company safety standards Communicate project progress, concerns, changes, and jobsite needs with management Maintain professional communication with homeowners and customers while working in occupied homes Ensure company tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and accounted for Assist with demolition, installation, repairs, punch-list work, and project completion as needed Required Construction Skills Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in residential construction and remodeling, including many of the following: Rough and finish carpentry Wood and metal framing Drywall installation and repair Interior and exterior trim installation Baseboard, casing, crown molding, and finish work Door and window installation Cabinet and vanity installation Flooring installation, including LVP and similar products Demolition and jobsite preparation Basic tile installation and preparation Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to identify plumbing issues Basic electrical knowledge and ability to identify electrical issues Bathroom remodeling Kitchen remodeling Basement finishing Measuring, layout, leveling, and squaring Proper use of hand tools and power tools Ability to troubleshoot construction problems and determine appropriate repairs Understanding of residential building methods, materials, and building codes Leadership & Foreman Skills Previous experience as a Construction Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Crew Leader, or similar position Strong ability to lead employees while also working alongside them Ability to determine what needs to be done without requiring constant direction Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors Ability to maintain project schedules and recognize potential delays Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to hold crew members accountable while maintaining a productive work environment Professional communication skills with employees, subcontractors, customers, and management Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Qualifications Several years of hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience required Previous leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to safely operate common construction tools and equipment Ability to perform physically demanding construction work, including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing ladders, and working on your feet throughout the day Knowledge of OSHA and general construction safety practices Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently Must take pride in producing clean, professional, high-quality work The Person We're Looking For We are looking for more than someone who can simply supervise a crew. We need an experienced construction professional who can lead from the front . You should be equally comfortable coordinating a project, directing employees and subcontractors, and picking up your tools to complete framing, trim, flooring, cabinetry, drywall, demolition, or other construction work when the project requires it. The right candidate will understand residential remodeling from both the management side and the hands-on construction side and will take ownership of getting projects completed correctly, efficiently, and professionally.
Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
