Job Description

The Foreman position is designed to provide a high level of leadership and oversight for one small to medium sized or assistance with an area/floor for one large Moonlite Electric project. The intent of the position is to ensure that the apprentices, helpers, journeymen, and mechanics have the support they need to make every area of a project successful. The Foreman position will report to the General Field Superintendent and/or Project Superintendent, and work in tandem with Project Managers, other Foremen, Mechanics, and/or Helpers. All non-supervisory field staff on the assigned project will directly or indirectly report to the Foreman. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Directing, assisting, and/or advising other on-site non-supervision personnel as needed, by providing a high level of experience, expertise, and being a well-rounded supervising role. Maintaining the project schedule and ensuring milestones are met, by assisting Site Supervision in monitoring and organizing manpower needs. Direct the scheduling and coordinating the delivery/pick-up of materials, tools, and equipment for all areas of a project that the Foreman is responsible for. Ensuring code compliance and specification requirements are met through regular site walk-throughs. Provide the main or secondary layer of quality control for the assigned project and ensure that a high level of quality is maintained. Develop team-building strategies and arrange staff as necessary to allow for professional development of all non-supervisory field employees assigned to the project. Being a liaison between the office and/or Project Superintendent and field staff, ensuring continuity of information. Making sure the required documentation is completed in the field, including safety sheets, timesheets, etc. Enforcing safety rules and regulations, by checking that the proper paperwork and inspections are being performed. Coaching and training field staff to be better equipped to take on more responsibility and prepare them for the next level of their career. Mitigating risk by looking for possible future problems and adjusting accordingly. Attend subcontractor meetings as needed. Attend financial meetings as needed. Other responsibilities and duties as necessary.
Pay:
$32.00 - $42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
