Looking for candidates experienced in all phases of high end and custom construction. Must be available to work nights/ weekends. Must be willing to travel in the NJ and NY all 5 boroughs for job sites. SST 62 Certification a MUST.
General Responsibilities:
Reading, understanding and executing from plans on large build and renovation projects to ensure the accurate execution of architectural drawings, schematics and other planning documents
Planning:
Review blueprints and project plans, estimate materials, and develop work schedules Working as part of the build team to coordinate and anticipate how your work integrates with others from an infrastructure and timing perspective Providing advice and suggestions to the Field Manager and/or Project Management when an execution or design issue arises and working to resolve the issue quickly and effectively Ability to operate independently on small projects, with limited direction to fully execute to completion; ability to communicate progress and timelines timely and clearly to the client and Management Providing to direction to carpenters, apprentices and laborers as needed Additional tasks as directed Enforcing safety: Ensure that workers follow safety practices and regulations Inspecting work: Check the work in progress and upon completion to ensure it meets standards Procuring materials: Gather materials and equipment, and inspect them to ensure they meet building code Maintaining records: Keep records of operations, accident reports, and time sheets Maintaining equipment: Maintain and repair tools, machinery, and equipment Performing carpentry: Perform carpentry tasks such as building additions, installing floors, and repairing doors and windows
Position Requires:
Strong work ethic Ability to self perform light carpentry/painting and other job site related duties Time management skills Personal accountability for high quality work Ability to work directly with customers as well as other employees Willingness to do what it takes to get the job done, with the client completely satisfied Employee to supply their own tools and transportation Travel to NY and NJ for job sites Extensive understanding of OSHA construction regulations Ability to multi-task
License/Certifications:
Driver's License (Required). OSHA 30 (Required). DOB ( Required). Willingness to travel. SST 62 (Required)
Job Details:
Full Time. Night Shifts (not overnight). Weekday & Weekend availability. Overtime.
