Job Description
Job Overview Trades Exchange (TEX) is seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Pipefitter Foreman for a full-time opportunity in Maryville, TN . This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong pipefitting experience who is also comfortable working across multiple industrial construction trades. The primary focus of this position will be overseeing and assisting with the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of piping systems , while also supporting work involving millwrighting, welding, sheet metal, mechanical, civil, and rigging projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be a proven foreman who can lead a crew, solve field problems, maintain productivity, and still work alongside the team when needed. Responsibilities Inspect jobsites and determine repair methods, required tools, materials, and equipment Assign daily work to crew members and oversee completion of assigned tasks Assist with layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of piping systems Troubleshoot fabrication and assembly issues in the field Coordinate transportation of tools, equipment, and materials to jobsites Order required materials and supplies for new installations and existing-system modifications Monitor employee performance, productivity, and quality of work Provide hands-on training and mentoring to crew members Conduct or coordinate safety and equipment-use training Use hand tools, power tools, torches, welders, and other trade-related equipment Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed Maintain operational and personnel information including hours worked, jobs completed, equipment usage, inventory, and maintenance data Report accidents, near misses, injuries, and employee-related concerns to supervision Lead crews ranging from approximately 1 to 12 employees Assist with work in additional trades including millwrighting, welding, sheet metal, mechanical work, and rigging as needed Requirements High school diploma or GED 5+ years of hands-on foreman experience Strong pipefitting and piping-system fabrication experience Experience leading and directing field crews Ability to read and understand work instructions, layouts, and job requirements Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in field environments Experience using hand tools, power tools, torches, and welding equipment Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts preferred Ability to train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable Comfortable working across multiple industrial construction trades Strong communication and organizational skills Must be able to work safely around mechanical equipment, elevated areas, weather conditions, fumes, heat, and other industrial jobsite conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds This position is a strong opportunity for an experienced pipefitting foreman who enjoys being hands-on, leading crews, and working across a variety of industrial construction projects.
