What We Do Progressive Technologies installs Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) for high-profile customers nationwide. We specialize in the electrical installation of commercial and industrial HVAC controls and power management systems on data center construction projects. What We're Looking For We are looking for dependable employees who take pride in their work and communicate well with others. Ideal candidates are leaders, team players, and problem-solvers with experience in the electrical and controls industry. Travel and Schedule This is a traveling position.
Employees must:
Be willing to travel out of state for long-term projects. Be available to travel most of the year. Remain on assignment for approximately 4-8 weeks at a time, with scheduled breaks to return home and time off for holidays. Have reliable transportation to and from out-of-state job sites. Be able to work 56hrs/week. Pay, Per Diem, Travel Reimbursement, and Lodging Hourly pay ranges from $28-$36, based on experience and certifications. Per diem is available for job sites more than 60 miles from the employee's home. Mileage is reimbursed at $0.40 per mile. Company housing is provided for employees who live more than 60 miles from the job site. Job Responsibilities Install electrical wiring and conduit for commercial and industrial HVAC control systems. Bend and install ¾-inch to 2-inch EMT, rigid conduit, PVC, and Robroy. Pull and label control, power, fiber, and low-voltage cable. Terminate field devices and control panels. Read and follow electrical blueprints, schematics, and control drawings. Troubleshoot electrical and controls systems using diagnostic equipment. Work safely from ladders and scissor lifts. Follow NEC requirements and project safety procedures. Complete pull sheets and other required project documentation. Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades. Travel to out-of-state data center projects for extended assignments. Minimum Requirements Have a current driver's license.
• Have at least five years of commercial or industrial electrical experience. New construction experience is preferred. OSHA 10 certification is required to start work Must have reliable transportation to and from out-of-state work assignments. Be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Have a minimum of three years of construction industry experience. Be willing and able to travel most of the year. Communicate effectively and work well with others. Preferred (not required) Electrical and controls installation Commercial or industrial new construction BMS/BAS systems HVAC control systems PLC and DDC systems Fire alarm or security systems National Electrical Code (NEC) Reading blueprints and schematics Terminating field devices and control panels Troubleshooting and using diagnostic equipment Bending and installing ¾-inch to 2-inch EMT, rigid conduit, PVC, and Robroy Pulling cable and writing pull sheets Working safely on ladders and scissor lifts Electrical, fiber, or low-voltage certifications and licenses
