Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Lead a small commercial installation crew Install modular and architectural wall systems alongside the crew Review plans, elevations, installation drawings, and project documents Perform and verify field layout using dimensions, lasers, levels, and control lines Plan daily work and installation sequencing Assign work based on crew experience and project priorities Monitor production and installation quality Identify field conditions, missing materials, dimensional conflicts, and other potential delays Communicate problems promptly rather than allowing them to affect the schedule Coordinate with management, customers, general contractors, superintendents, and other trades Track daily progress against project expectations Maintain organized staging, material protection, and work areas Manage punch-list completion and final installation quality Enforce ASG and jobsite safety requirements Train and develop less-experienced installers Maintain professional crew conduct on customer jobsites Represent All Systems Go professionally while traveling and working throughout the country The Person We're Looking For A strong ASG foreman does not need constant direction. You should be comfortable arriving on a commercial project, understanding the installation scope, organizing your crew, identifying what needs to happen next, communicating with the appropriate people, and keeping the project moving. We are especially interested in candidates who: Take ownership of results Stay calm when project conditions change Communicate problems early Can make sound field decisions Hold themselves and their crew to a high quality standard Understand the difference between being busy and being productive Can lead people without creating unnecessary conflict Treat customers, coworkers, and other trades professionally Are willing to teach less-experienced installers Can work independently without needing constant supervision Preferred Industry Experience Direct experience installing modular, demountable, or architectural wall systems is strongly preferred. Experience with manufacturers such as the following is especially valuable: SteelcaseDIRTT MAARS
Teknion Transwall Infinium Similar architectural glass or modular wall manufacturers We will also consider strong leaders from related commercial trades, including: Commercial glazing Storefront installation Finish carpentry Doors, frames, and hardware Commercial interiors Office systems and furniture installation Specialty architectural products Candidates with strong commercial construction and leadership experience may be trained on the specific wall systems ASG installs.Required Qualifications Applicants should have:
Several years of commercial construction or installation experience Previous experience leading, directing, or training other installers Strong measuring, layout, leveling, and finish-work skills Ability to read plans, elevations, shop drawings, and installation documents Experience working with finished architectural materials Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, lasers, levels, and installation equipment Ability to identify and solve field problems Ability to organize work and maintain productivity with limited supervision Professional written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license Valid identification and authorization to work in the United States Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Basic set of personal hand tools Ability to lift and carry construction materials Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical installation work throughout the day Preferred CertificationsOSHA 10 OSHA 30
Manufacturer-specific architectural wall training Equipment certifications relevant to commercial construction Travel Requirements This is a 100% traveling position. ASG performs projects throughout the United States. Employees routinely travel away from home for approximately one to five weeks at a time , depending on the project. Applicants must be prepared for frequent travel throughout the year.Travel may include:
Air travel Rental vehicles Hotels Extended project assignments Early morning or evening travel Occasional weekend work depending on project requirements This position is best suited for someone who enjoys traveling, working on different projects, and leading crews in changing environments.
