PAY:
$52/hour
PER DIEM
Offered when traveling to qualified candidates.
HOURS:
50 hrs a week.
General Foreman Job Description:
The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing daily operations of transmission and distribution at substation sites to ensure the completion of projects in a safe and timely manner.
Requirements:
Minimum of 12 years' experience Must have a valid Driver's License. Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy. Must be able to assess through assessment program.
Duties:
Lead and manage the on-site construction teams, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation. Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects. Responsible for control of crew costs including effective use of manpower, work methods, and operation of equipment. Work with Project Superintendent to pre-plan work schedules and determine manpower levels, materials and equipment necessary for project productivity. Coordinate with subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries. Read specifications, such as blueprints to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. Set and oversee production goals and daily production tracking. Manage equipment and material resources efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met. Conducts safety training of assigned personnel in accordance with safety training procedures Investigates accident reports, damage claims, and may be a designated representative to settle minor damage or injury claims. Complete and submit daily to Superintendent the Foreman Daily Report Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards. SST is an equal opportunity employer!
