In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various construction projects by performing physically demanding tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of site activities. Your energy, attention to safety, and willingness to learn will contribute significantly to the successful completion of diverse building initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up work areas. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction. Support the installation of rebar, metal stud framing, and other structural components following blueprint specifications. Help with concrete pouring, concrete finishing, and concrete pumping activities to ensure quality results. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for yourself and colleagues. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for site development, including working on hardscape projects like paving or tile laying. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous. Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of concrete forming, concrete cutting, rebar installation, and finishing techniques. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as concrete mixers and pumps. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Basic carpentry skills including formwork construction, metal stud framing, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and tile laying are beneficial.
