Pond & Water Feature Construction Technician Full-Time | Mystic Water Gardens | Los Angeles, CA

This position requires professional, hands-on experience with ponds, water features, pools, plumbing, aquariums, pumps, filtration systems, or a closely related construction trade. We are not considering applicants whose work experience is only in restaurants, retail, warehouse work, delivery, general labor, or landscape maintenance. You must be able to communicate clearly in English. Mystic Water Gardens is an established pond and water feature company specializing in the construction of custom ponds, waterfalls, streams, fountains, and natural water features throughout the Los Angeles area. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on person with mechanical ability, good judgment, and strong problem-solving skills. This is a physical outdoor construction position involving water systems, plumbing, pumps, filtration, rock placement, excavation, and related site work. This is not a landscape maintenance or "mow and blow" position. What You'll Be Doing Constructing ponds, waterfalls, streams, fountains, and pondless water features Installing and repairing pumps, plumbing, filtration, skimmers, BioFalls, and water circulation systems Working with PVC, valves, fittings, liners, underlayment, and water-feature components Excavating, grading, trenching, and preparing sites for water-feature construction Placing rock and boulders to create natural-looking ponds and waterfalls Troubleshooting leaks, pumps, plumbing, filtration, and water-flow issues Assisting with planting, drainage, and other landscape work related to water-feature projects Reading plans and assisting with job layout Keeping tools, equipment, and job sites clean and organized Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Has professional, hands-on experience with ponds, pools, plumbing, aquariums, pumps, filtration, or another water-system trade Is mechanically inclined and comfortable working with pumps, plumbing, and equipment Has good common sense and can troubleshoot problems Takes initiative and pays attention to what needs to be done Is dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn Communicates clearly with coworkers and management Is comfortable performing physical construction work outdoors Takes pride in producing high-quality work Previous pond-building experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider applicants with solid related experience in pools, plumbing, aquariums, pumps, filtration systems, or other water-system work. We can teach our specific methods of pond and water-feature construction to someone with the right experience, mechanical ability, and attitude. Requirements Professional hands-on experience in ponds, water features, pools, plumbing, aquariums, or a related trade Experience with pumps, plumbing, filtration, or water circulation systems strongly preferred Must be able to communicate clearly in English Spanish/English bilingual is a plus Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation and a working cell phone Able to perform physical outdoor construction work and lift 50-100 lbs. Dependable and available for full-time, year-round work This is not a landscape maintenance position. We are looking for someone who wants to develop specialized skills in pond and water-feature construction and become a valuable long-term member of our team.
