Job Description

The Storm Drain Laborer assists the pipe crew with the installation of storm drain systems including reinforced concrete pipe(RCP), manholes, catch basins, and related drainage structures. This position supports equipment operators and foremen with excavation support, pipe installation, grading, compaction and general jobsite labor while maintaining a safe and productive environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist with installation of storm drain pipe and structures Prepare pipe bedding and assist with backfill and compaction Hand dig around utilities and assist potholing Assist operators with rigging and guiding pipe into place Operating small tools and equipment(compactors, jumping jacks, saws, etc.) Maintain clean and safe work areas Follow company safety procedures and directions from supervisors
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
