Construction Laborer / Class A or B CDL Driver-Laborer SWE Sewer Solutions San Dimas, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $30 - $50 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Automobile transportation Overhead line systems Equipment safety procedures Underground utilities Water treatment facilities Renewable energy systems Construction industry experience HVAC Working on construction projects Full Job Description Construction Laborer / Class A or B CDL Driver-Laborer SWE Sewer Solutions is hiring experienced and dependable Construction Laborers and Class A / Class B CDL Driver-Laborers for sewer, underground utility, excavation, and general construction work. We are specifically looking for applicants with verifiable hands-on construction experience who can safely perform the duties of the position with minimal training. Applicants should be reliable, safety-conscious, physically capable of field work, and comfortable working as part of an experienced construction crew. Job Duties Construction Laborer Perform hands-on labor for sewer, underground utility, excavation, and construction projects Assist with trenching, digging, backfilling, site preparation, and jobsite cleanup Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment Assist with sewer pipe installation, repairs, and other underground utility work Safely use common construction hand tools and power tools Assist equipment operators and other crew members during excavation and installation work Follow jobsite safety procedures and supervisor instructions Perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions Class A / Class B CDL Driver-Laborer Safely operate commercial trucks, including dump trucks and other company vehicles Transport equipment, materials, debris, and supplies to and from jobsites Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain proper vehicle and delivery documentation Safely load and secure materials and equipment Assist the construction crew with labor duties when not driving Follow DOT requirements, company policies, and jobsite safety procedures Assist with construction equipment and machinery when qualified and authorized to do so Required Qualifications Previous hands-on construction experience is required Experience in sewer, underground utilities, excavation, plumbing, trenching, or similar construction work strongly preferred Applicants must be able to clearly explain their previous job duties, equipment used, and construction experience Employment history and relevant experience must be verifiable Professional references from previous employers or supervisors may be requested Must be dependable and consistently report to work on time Must be able to follow directions and work safely without constant supervision Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, digging, climbing, bending, and performing labor-intensive work Must understand basic construction jobsite safety practices Must be able to work effectively as part of a crew Additional Requirements for CDL Applicants Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License required Previous commercial driving experience required Must have experience operating the type of commercial vehicles listed in your application/resume Acceptable clean driving record required CDL and driving history will be verified Experience driving dump trucks and hauling construction materials/equipment preferred Must be willing and able to perform construction labor duties in addition to driving Equipment Experience Preferred Experience operating or assisting with any of the following is a plus: Excavators Backhoes Skid steers Loaders Mini excavators Compactors Dump trucks Other underground utility or excavation equipment Applicants should only list equipment they have personally operated and are able to operate safely.
