Working shifts could include nights, weekends and holidays for extended periods You may be called upon or be required to perform work as part of a recovery team during emergencies and disasters and general system failures on an on-call basis. Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification. Able to professionally communicate. May have to implement Maintenance of Traffic, to include flagman operations; may require training and certification. Willing to operate/learn to operate various hand tools and equipment to complete the scope of work (various manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-along, jack hammers, drills, chipping guns, ground rod drivers, hand lines, etc.). Work around large construction equipment. Work near energized electrical equipment or components.
Work near traffic:
interstates, highways, rural and urban conditions. Requirements/Qualifications (Carr Construction, LLC will pay for professional training if required!): Able to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Hardhats, harnesses, gloves, etc.). Able to maintain concentration and attention for extended periods is necessary; work efforts will be in and around inherently hazardous areas. Respect for your surroundings and coworkers is a must in the industry. Must be able to traverse various terrain and access/enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day. Endurance to perform the described duties throughout a typical eight plus hour day. Subject to call-out work (On-call) work shifts. Must be able to withstand exposure in Florida's changing weather conditions (heat, sun, rain, wind, cold, etc.) Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment. Must be able to read, write and comprehend written and verbal instructions/information. Must have reliable transportation to and from the startup location. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. A valid driver's license is required, operator Class E. Must possess a high school diploma (or equivalency) Must be authorized to work in the United States. Carr Construction is an
