Responsibilities Assist in the installation of diverse flooring materials including epoxy, vinyl, hardwood, tile, and carpet by preparing surfaces and handling materials with precision. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay flooring according to technical drawings and construction plans. Support the installation of fixtures, caulking, and finishing touches to ensure a polished final product. Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials, moving equipment, and preparing work sites for installation or restoration projects. Follow safety protocols related to building material installation and construction site safety compliance to maintain a secure work environment. Aid in water damage restoration projects by removing damaged flooring and assisting with surface refinishing processes like buffing and floor refinishing. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to accurately execute flooring layouts and remodeling projects. Requirements Prior construction site experience or hands-on experience with flooring installation or restoration industry work. Familiarity with construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, and understanding building plans. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in flooring installation such as saws, drills, sanders, and buffing equipment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while working on various surfaces and heights. Knowledge of different flooring types including epoxy floor installation, carpet laying, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, tile laying, and floor refinishing techniques. Experience with water damage restoration or remodeling projects is a plus. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent teamwork skills to ensure quality craftsmanship on every project.
