Job Title:
General Laborer / Part-Time Parking Lot Striping Technician Job Description This part-time, seasonal role offers the opportunity to work as a Parking Lot Striping Technician for a growing pavement marking and parking lot maintenance company. You will support parking lot striping and pavement marking projects on both day and night shifts, with occasional weekend work and flexible scheduling based on workload and weather. This position is ideal for individuals seeking additional income, hands-on construction experience, or an introduction to a skilled trade, with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role as the company continues to grow. Responsibilities Assist with parking lot striping, pavement marking, and layout projects to ensure accurate and professional results. Operate striping equipment and related tools safely and efficiently. Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites and storage locations. Prepare paint machines, including mixing materials and setting up equipment for use. Install stencils and perform measurements and layout work according to project specifications. Assist with job site setup, including traffic control and workspace organization, and perform thorough cleanup after each project. Maintain, clean, and perform basic care on striping equipment and tools to keep them in good working condition. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Work outdoors on day and night shifts, including occasional weekends, as required by project schedules and weather conditions. Represent the company professionally at customer job sites through respectful communication and a positive attitude. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to quality standards. Essential Skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to and from job sites and the shop. OSHA 10 certification. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity. Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 60 lbs and push or move materials and equipment weighing up to 350 lbs. Capability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, and work on your feet for extended periods. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Ability to perform physical labor safely and efficiently. Dependable attendance and punctuality. General labor experience in construction, asphalt, concrete, landscaping, delivery driving, or similar hands-on roles is strongly beneficial. Additional Skills & Qualifications Outdoor labor experience in environments such as construction, landscaping, or general contracting. Experience operating power tools or small equipment used in construction or maintenance work. Experience with landscape maintenance or general contractor support tasks. Prior experience in delivery driving or similar roles that require reliable transportation and time management. Comfort working variable hours in a project-based, seasonal environment. Why Work Here? You work primarily outdoors on active parking lots and pavement marking sites, regularly exposed to heat, cold, humidity, and changing weather conditions. The position involves frequent lifting and carrying of up to 60 lbs, pushing or moving materials and equipment weighing up to 350 lbs, and spending extended periods standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and working on your feet. You use striping machines, stencils, measuring tools, and other power tools and small equipment in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines. The environment is hands-on, physically demanding, and safety-focused, with practical work attire suitable for outdoor labor and construction activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
