Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Laborer who will become a Micro Duct Blower and Fiber Placement Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic cable systems using micro duct and fiber blowing equipment. This is a hands-on position requiring a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient deployment of fiber optic networks. Responsibilities Operate and maintain micro duct and fiber blowing equipment. Install fiber optic cables in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Perform pre-installation site inspections to assess job requirements and potential challenges. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fiber optic cable installations. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during installations and maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress. Certification in fiber optic technologies (e.g., CFOT, FOA) is a plus. Experience working with different types of fiber optic cables and connectors. Background in telecommunications, construction, or a related field. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients on-site. Qualifications Experience with micro duct and fiber blowing equipment is required. Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation techniques and best practices. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in telecommunications and fiber installations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lb. and work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
