Semi-Skilled Laborer - DPW

Position is responsible for providing general labor maintenance skills to the DPW Operations Maintenance Section.

Provide general labor functions commonly associated with City municipal work assignments. Assists with asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete work, playground equipment repair, grounds keeping and other related duties. Assists with snow removal functions Cleans/washes equipment as needed Operates small motorized equipment Assists with the daily care and maintenance of tools and supplies This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

High School diploma or equivalent required. May be required to perform manual tasks that require lifting and carrying of objects in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds or more. A valid Indiana Driver's License is preferred.

Actions and decisions are controlled by standard operating policies of the Department and Division. Work assignments are conveyed via supervision or crew leader.
