In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, assisting with new home construction as well as street work and utility work . Job description will be determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities Operate excavation equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and dump trucks. Perform excavation tasks including trenching, grading, site preparation, and utility installation to meet project specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities accurately using utility locating equipment before digging or excavation begins. Reading plans and understanding elevations. Support construction grading activities to ensure proper elevation levels for foundation and drainage work. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations on all job sites. Construction site experience with a focus on utility work, excavation, grading. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving is preferred. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety and quality standards.
