In this vital role, you'll assist with a variety of tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects progress smoothly and safely. From handling tools to supporting skilled tradespeople, you'll be an essential part of creating durable structures and beautiful spaces. This position offers hands-on experience in the construction industry, providing opportunities for growth and skill development in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and equipment. Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as concrete mixers and concrete pumps to support various phases of construction work. Support the installation of rebar, formwork, drywall, flooring, tile laying, and other building components following blueprint specifications. Help with concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to ensure quality craftsmanship. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute tasks like metal stud framing, masonry, stucco application, roofing, and plastering. Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members. Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for renovation, restoration projects, or new construction developments. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction projects or in a construction workplace setting is highly preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is essential for accurate task execution. Knowledge of construction safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in physically demanding environments. Experience with concrete forming, concrete finishing, rebar installation, masonry, drywall installation, tile laying or roofing is a plus. Strong work ethic with attention to detail; excellent teamwork skills; willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced setting.
