Children don't always have the words to explain what they're going through. As a Play Therapist at our locally owned Ellie Mental Health clinic, you'll use creativity, connection, and clinical skill to help children express themselves, build coping skills, and grow. You'll work with children and families in a welcoming outpatient setting, alongside a team that shares ideas, supports one another, and cares about making therapy more accessible. What you'll find here Flexible scheduling and a mix of in-person and telehealth sessions based on client needs A supportive Clinic Director and collaborative clinical team Health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k); PTO; paid holidays; and parental leave, based on eligibility Continuing education and opportunities to grow A clinic culture that values your ideas, your well-being, and a little fun along the way What you'll do Provide outpatient therapy to children using developmentally appropriate play therapy techniques Partner with parents and caregivers to support progress beyond the therapy room Create individualized treatment plans and help clients work through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings and professional development What we're looking for A master's degree in a behavioral health field and a full clinical license in Michigan , such as an LMSW, LPC, or LMFT Experience providing therapy to children and using play-based interventions A strong understanding of child development and family dynamics A warm, creative approach that helps children feel safe and engaged Play therapy training or Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credentials are a plus Comfort using an electronic health record; Valant experience is a plus This full-time role includes a target of 25 or more recorded client sessions per week . Some evening or weekend availability is helpful for families.
Compensation:
Estimated annual earnings of $70,000-$90,000+ , depending on caseload and productivity, with potential bonuses and incentives.
