We have grown to over 150 employees specializing in road signs, guardrails, high tension cable barriers, fencing, drilled shafts, and traffic control. We construct the most cost-effective and desirable product by working directly with owners' architects, designers, and representatives. Our goal is to provide premium workmanship at a great value while maintaining a safety-first environment. We are currently hiring team members to join our Highway Drilled Shaft team, which services the entire state of Michigan.

A Construction Laborer working within the Drilled Shaft division of our company will perform all labor tasks involved in the installation of drilled shafts & structural foundations working along Michigan highway work zones and commercial construction sites. Ability to mobilize heavy equipment to the worksite by driving air-break-equipped heavy trucks. Day-to-day can include cutting and welding steel, concrete work & finishing, operating hand tools & material handling. Must currently have a CDL A with no restrictions for this position. This is a fast-paced, outdoor environment with many opportunities to grow.
Qualifications:
Driver's License with CDL A required Must be able to drive air-brake equipped Heavy Trucks Problem-solving skills Works well in a team environment where situations and demands change daily
Effective Communication Skills Skills and Experience:
Construction experience Lowboy Operation Experience Loading and Unloading Excavators Welding Experience preferred Equipment Operation preferred Power tool operation Ability to accurately read a level and a tape measure
Work Requirements:
Ability to perform manual labor as required in an outdoor environment in the heat, sun, cold, and rain This position will often require working out-of-town on projects that could be a week(s) at a time. Usually home on weekends, but projects could work over a weekend on occasion.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, such as to operate and repair vibrating machinery, use wrenches, hand tools, etc., and operate motorized equipment and vehicles. The employee must lift or push/pull objects of up to 75 lbs. without assistance. Accommodation will be made, as needed, for employees required to lift or move objects that exceed this weight. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
